Now back in (cold!) UK after fabulous time in Spain, Maureen and I had a wonderful time with you. When we arrived we told you that you had a lot to live up to after our previous painting holiday experiences and you did - with spades. Caroline - you were truly inspirational and we both feel we learned so much from you. In just one short week you turned us from "hobbyists" to "painters". Perhaps one day we might even aspire to becoming "artists". All this and fun too. The studio was lovely - well equipped and lovely and cool after mornings spent on location in the sun, and the Ecohotel was a joy. Beautiful spacious rooms with wonderful views of the mountains across to Marbella and a lovely pool and sunbathing terrace to relax on at the end of the day. Thank you all so much from us both.

Six sessions at JoeDaisy and I learnt more in one day than 4 years!!
Vital information from you - NO-ONE has ever given me - composition, tonal values, focal points, concepts, mood boards - everything. AND YOUR TOP TIPS AND FORMULA - well mind blowing!!!

Just a line to thank you so much for your patient and inspirational teaching last week. My time in Monda with you and Alex was was such a confidence builder for me (in art and in life in general!). As you know I was more than a little anxious about my lack of painting experience but with your encouragement and your 'can do' attitude I feel I achieved so much more than I ever imagined that I could - I've returned home feeling inspired to do much more. You even managed to put a positive spin on my disastrous 'hay-stack', showing me how to learn from my mistakes! You've taught me so much, particularly the value of good composition and having the confidence to interpret rather than simply copy a subject. But perhaps the most important thing you passed on to me was something which I can carry through into life in general: after careful preparation, be brave, be uninhibited and go with your instincts - or as you so succinctly put it; 'If you think it - do it!'. Whenever I doubt myself this will come to me - it's my new mantra!
Once again thank you for a wonderful and productive week and please pass on my thanks to Alex for all his help, his charming company and his lively conversation - what a dynasty you've reared!!

This is the best painting course. I'm a serial course taker and NEVER have I had so much quality and revealing teaching.
Not just that but the whole package - the guest house, the studio, the village, the food, the welcome, the individual personal space, the feeling of being valued and not another number - I just didn't want to leave.
I am SERIOUSLY thinking of moving nearer to you, my whole life feels as if it has changed by a chance encounter of the web site and then Caroline and her team. Phew, just amazing and life changing??? (wanted name witheld).

Just wanted to say a big thank you for a great 3 days painting last week, you both make excellent hosts. Caroline you are such a fantastic teacher, I feel like I learnt a lot during the 3 days and find it amazing that you can teach any style and have so much knowledge about the way artists’ paint yet keep the emphasis on everyone developing their own style – I think that style of teaching is perfect for anyone who wants to paint. I will definitely be back.

| As one of the first people to experience a painting holiday at JoeDaisy Spain may I congratulate you on achieving almost the impossible.The studio is cool and fully equiped. Hi Caroline
I just wanted to email to thank you again for a fantastic three days last weekend.
You have a great teaching style – very positive and supportive – and I really had the feeling of being able to tap into your own education, training, experience and talents, and I think it’s quite rare for creative people to be so generous in sharing at this level.
My aim for the weekend was to discover and release my own personal style, and I feel strongly I was able to do this. I’m brimming with enthusiasm to continue my exploration of woodland through painting, with more single-mindedness, confidence and new skills. Best wishes Mr Jez |

I know it was a few weeks ago but I wanted to thank you for a brilliant creative weekend.I learnt more in 2 days than I have done in years.I knew how I wanted to paint but didnt know the techniques.You have inspired me so much and it was a lovely atmosphere and interesting people to share it with.I will be back for another weekend and a spanish trip.You are so patient and encouraging when teaching.I went home inspired yet rested.

I am in Cornwall now and just want to say a huge "Thank You" for such a memorable painting week in Spain. As a beginner I am still amazed and delighted at the progress I made in such a short time, due mainly to your constant encouragement and guidance. I am looking forward to continuing my newly acquired passion for painting once I'm back in South Africa, it was worth the long trip! | Thank you so much for a great week. I met some lovely people and learnt so much about painting and the 'Easter in Spain' experience. Each day was an adventure; the parades, puppy, massages and the meal at the castle were wonderful extras. I look forward to doing further courses with you in the UK .Judy |

Caroline is different, she teaches you everything you REALLY need to know, so you go away confident and pretty excited. Becuase it is so good, you want to come back anyway. | Well Gaye and I arrived back safely in the UK clutching our masterpieces!!
I have to say I have never enjoyed anything quite as much so unexpectedly as I only really came to support Gaye (now she's got to come again to support me in my new found desire to create and learn.) in her desire to rekindle her art skills.
Thank you both so much, you could not do enough to make our stay more enjoyable and relaxed (probably the copious amounts of wine!!) with no pressure and great scenery.
Once again many thanks I will recommend you to my other friends and I will be back!!

"The course was outstandingly good. Intensive, yet somehow relaxed and inspirational. Course content just flowed from one subject to another with ease &, exceptional cleverness, so I was learning without being lectured! Thank you, thank you. It took me a long time to pluck up the courage to book. I was worried that away from home and no way back! I would be homesick or worried or not enjoy it!
I couldn't have been more wrong - what a great way to spend a week in your company and hospitality. A whole week of worrying about no-one but myself and knowing that you were taking care of me and that nothing was too much trouble. I want to thank you and thank you for a wonderful time in such caring company. I will be back and have recommended it to everyone. Barbra. |

This is above EXCELLENT. This was the BEST two days I've ever spent painting. I painted in acrylics, oils and mixed media. Learnt everything I thought a degree course would cover - in JUST two days. Couldn't believe it. STUNNING. Caroline is the best tutor I've come across, immensely talented but able to COMPLETELY assess our needs and correct our painting. BREATHTAKING - HONESTLY it's such a revelation to find something like this. I think she needs a medal or tea with the Queen OR SOMETHING! Thank you SO much! Sue |

| 'What I loved about it was that YOU inspired me to paint. I've been on painting holidays before and felt well that was OK but you inspired me about my painting and you didn't paint and leave us - which has been my experience before. This is to say thank you once again for the fantastic experience of the last few days. The course was exactly what I needed. I am so energised, inspired, excited and passionate again about my painting and you have helped me achieve all of that alongside giving me many new technical skills. Above all I feel I have come away with a new way of seeing - AND HOW FANTASTIC IS THAT - in just a few days. "Well, I just tried another provider and it just reafirms my belief - JoeDaisy is the best. This other tutor (on a different course)
rubbed my drawing out - put in his own and then repainted it
- after I had painted it!! What was that all about? I thought it
should be about me and not him!! So yes, you are the best
- with YOU it is about US and you never touch our paintings!!

Spain was great and exceeded my expectations (which were already high). Cat and Alex bent over backwards to keep everyone happy. The group gelled really well from the first evening. The Ecohotel was very comfortable and I thought the food was excellent. We were so lucky with the weather and we had the extra bonus of all the local parades for Semana Santa which were quite spectacular. Monda is such a lovely village and you would never guess that Marbella is only 15 mins away.

This is an art studio in a lovely spanish village close to Marbella that runs various courses over weeks/weekends/days. I went on one of the acrylic courses and had a super fun time! I learnt so much about colour, composition and technique - but some of the best things were the relaxed atmosphere in the airy studio, the positive encouragement by the artists teaching to develop your own style and 'bring out the artist in you!', the great locations around Monda that we painted and just all round opportunity to indulge in painting. I would recommend this to any body - whether you can already paint/draw or not - it's just such a relaxing fun time. I loved it and will definitely be going back!!
