THE PSYCHOLOGY OF COLOUR
Our Event 'Red'

Our Interactive Colour Workshop called 'RED' at the Core Business Centre in Oxfordshire was featured by the BBC
One of our Art Consultants, Cat Nelson, took the visitors around the Core Business Centre. An architect designed space where ForARTthou placed Paintings and Prints based on the Psychology of Colour.
Cat illustrated how colour is important in the workplace. She explained the pyschology of colour and how ForARTthou placed the right colour art works for the function of each space.

The World's Largest Colour Wheel heralded the event - towering 16ft outside the Core Business Centre, it stunned visitors and was acclaimed as a major constructural achievement.

Psychology of Colour at The Core Business Centre.
We placed all the paintings and prints in 100,000 sq ft of internal space.
Ensuring each colour art work worked for the function of each space.
At the far end of the long The Entrance hall, we placed a welcoming red,
black and white original painting.
Complemented by a black and white photographic triptych on the right hand brick wall.
The form of the triptych echoed the old use of the building - a fruit store.
The black and white colours were necessary to balance the strong red painting.

Also at the entrance to the building is a galleried landing.
We softened the modern lines with this wonderful painting. Red welcoming, white pure and blue calming. The form of the painting retained the essential angularity of the architectural form.
The reception area has pale blue (calm) contemporary paintings.
The colour and theme continue up the stairs.

The huge barn - which is a conference area is
an exceptional space with required carefully
considered art works.. The architect thought no-one
could rise to this challenge but when we placed
these sculptural works - he stated it was perfect,
inspired and couldn't be bettered.
The adjacent thatched barn, needed something
quite formal and again we triumphed with a
glazed and framed print, which echoed the outside
thatch in a contemporary form.
The traing rooms all have prints selected for
the space. Colours and form which are
condusive to learning & concentration.

The Boardroom has a sensational original purple diptych.
A highly contemporary form in colours which are
suitable for an important space.

The break out/refreshment room has warm orange
paintings which welcome and relax.

We even put a contemporary aluminium
sign on the exterior |
